In ORIX METRO’s FY2026 Mid-Year Planning, leaders took the opportunity to sharpen and realign focus in response to an evolving volatile business landscape. The gathering reinforced our commitment to remain agile as one organization.

As shared by our President, Angelo Padua, we continue to strengthen our foundation and our core while positioning the organization for long-term growth. By expanding our portfolio and accelerating execution, we are preparing ORIX METRO to stay ahead in a rapidly changing environment.

Guided by the theme “Hataw: Lakas-Pwersa,” the session emphasized the importance of moving with trustworthiness, speed, and confidence to serve our valued clients. The theme reflected ORIX METRO’s collective response to the realities and challenges encountered during the first half of FY2026. While the year started on a strong and positive note, external disruptions and local challenges affected operations, momentum, and overall performance. “Lakas-Pwersa” served as a call for the organization to regroup, realign, and move forward with strength and precision, highlighting that despite the changing environment, our ability to respond together remains our greatest strength.

ORIX METRO Business Innovation and Talents Summit 2026

ORIX METRO held its annual ORIX METRO Business, Innovation and Talents Summit (ORBITS 2026) at Fairmont Makati. The two-day summit brought together leaders and teams to align on business performance, digital transformation, and the strategic direction of the organization.

ORIX METRO’s theme for ORBITS 2026 is HATAW, symbolizing the company’s next level strategy in accelerating digitalization, innovation, and human empowerment across the organization. Building on the momentum of ORBITS 2025: SULONG, HATAW reflects ORIX METRO’s commitment to move with greater speed, purpose, and execution as we continue transforming the business, strengthening our people, and creating meaningful impact for our clients, partners, and communities.

ORBITS 2026: HATAW Day 1 reminded us at ORIX METRO that we are more than finance. President Angelo Padua, highlighted that our “Why” is to be the engine of the Philippine economy, to empower businesses to grow, and to create impact beyond numbers. His message challenged us to take ownership, embrace challenges, and lead with purpose as we shape the future of the company and the communities we serve.

The summit then featured HATAW Business Updates, including Financial Highlights and Target Projections, Marketing Performance Updates, and updates from subsidiaries ORIX Rental Corporation, the OMLF Insurance Agency, and OMLF International Trading and Development Corporation. We also shared HATAW – Todo Supporta Updates and Plans from Support Units: Operations Group, Credit Group, and Human Resources Management Division, highlighting operational efficiency, risk management, and leadership development. These sessions reflected how each unit contributes to delivering results, driving growth, and empowering our clients and teams.

ORBITS 2026: HATAW Day 1 reinforced our commitment to transformation and innovation. We are inspired to lead with purpose, and continue building ORIX METRO into an organization that drives meaningful impact across the Philippines.

On Day 2 of ORBITS 2026: Hataw, anchored on the theme Powered by Technology, Driven by People, we highlighted how ORIX METRO continues to embrace digital transformation with people at its core. The day opened with meaningful conversations through an Inspirational Talk that challenged how we think about work, leadership, and life with content creator Crissy “Crissy Talks HR” Rollan. We held our Digital Transformation Forum and shared key updates on Project NXT, showing how we are strengthening our digital capabilities, processes, and people to deliver better experiences for our clients and partners. ORBITS 2026 marked an important milestone with the official launch of our new Mission, Vision and Values, our North Star that guides everything we do and sets the direction for how we grow, evolve, and create impact. Through these moments and milestones, we were reminded that while technology powers the future, it is our people who truly drive transformation.

Excellence took center stage at the ORBITS 2026: HATAW Awards Night. We recognized our employees and teams who delivered outstanding results across sales performance, service excellence, client impact, and enterprise growth. The ORIX METRO Group announces the appointment of First Vice President Lito P. Ondevilla as President of OMLF Insurance Agency, Inc. (OIA), following the approval of the OIA Board. His appointment takes effect on October 1, 2025.

The leadership appointment underscores ORIX METRO’s commitment to strengthening its insurance business and accelerating growth across its non-interest income segments. President Ondevilla brings with him over 26 years of extensive experience within the ORIX METRO Group, marked by a strong track record of leadership, operational excellence, and strategic execution.

Throughout his career, President Ondevilla has held key leadership roles across multiple business units, including the OMLF Marketing Group, ORC Marketing, Operations, Fleet Management, and the warehousing business of OMLF International Trading & Development Corp. (OITDC). His broad exposure and deep institutional knowledge position him well to lead OIA toward sustained growth, enhanced profitability, and increased market relevance.

In addition to his new role, President Ondevilla will continue to serve concurrently as General Manager of OITDC, a dual leadership arrangement aligned with ORIX Corporation’s strategic direction to reinforce and expand its diversified, non-interest income businesses across the Group.

The Board of Directors of ORIX Rental Corporation (ORC), a wholly-owned subsidiary of ORIX METRO Leasing and Finance Corporation and a leader in full-service operating lease solutions, has elected Arnaldo Bacabac, Jr. as its new President. His election signals a new phase of growth and innovation as ORC strengthens its position in the corporate mobility sector.

Bacabac, a seasoned leader with deep industry expertise, takes the helm with a clear vision: to enhance operational efficiency, invest in people, and expand market reach. Under his leadership, ORC will focus on streamlining processes, leveraging on technology, and driving sustainable growth while maintaining its market leadership.

A graduate of BS Economics from the University of the Philippines – Diliman, Bacabac further honed his expertise with an MBA from the Ateneo Graduate School of Business. His career spans decades in the banking and financial industry, beginning as a Credit Analyst at Far East Bank and Trust Co. He later held key roles as Account Officer at Planters Development Bank and Credit Review Officer at United Coconut Planters Bank, where he developed a strong foundation in credit assessment, risk management, and financial analysis.

At ORIX METRO, Bacabac has taken on leadership roles across Marketing, Operations, and Branch Management, giving him a well-rounded perspective on business growth, operational efficiency, and financial strategy. His tenure includes spearheading business development, optimizing internal processes, and overseeing branch operations. Beyond his contributions to ORIX METRO, he has served as a Director of the Credit Management Association of the Philippines and was a Director of the Philippine Finance Association in 2019, actively shaping industry best practices.

Prior to his election as President of ORIX Rental Corp., Bacabac led the Credit Group as Executive Vice President since October 2022, where he reinforced credit strategy and financial governance to ensure ORIX METRO’s stability and long-term growth.

“ORC is the pioneer and undisputed leader in full-service operating lease today, but leadership is about staying ahead—not standing still. We must keep moving, improving, and growing to deliver even better solutions to our clients,” said Bacabac.

As part of its long-term strategy, ORC is embracing new technologies to enhance service delivery and operational efficiencies. It is also committed to sustainable mobility, aligning its growth plans with the evolving needs of the market.

ORIX METRO Leasing and Finance Corporation (ORIX METRO), a leader in the Philippine leasing and finance sector, has officially deepened its partnership with the Philippine Guarantee Corporation (PHILGUARANTEE) to extend more accessible financial solutions to micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) across the country. This new alliance aims to provide enhanced loan products to support the growth and development of MSMEs.

“We are excited to further our partnership with PHILGUARANTEE, which will allow us to serve MSMEs with even more accessible and advantageous financial products,” said ORIX METRO President Angelo Padua. “This is a significant step forward in our mission to contribute to the prosperity of small businesses in the Philippines, and we look forward to a productive and responsive collaboration with PHILGUARANTEE.”

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) reports that there are more than 1.2 million MSMEs in the Philippines, representing over 99% of the country’s total businesses.
